MADISON, WIS. – UNC Greensboro men’s golf (298-285) climbed one spot during the second round of the Badger Invitational. The Spartans are currently tied for eighth place with Miami (Ohio) and are just four strokes out of the top five.  

The third and final round will take place tomorrow morning. 

Senior Jonathan Brightwell (70-68) heads into the final day tied for the individual lead after he carded a four-under 68 during the second round. Brightwell finished the back-nine at five-under 31 while completing the front-nine at one-over 37. 

Junior Nick Lyerly (77-73) moved up the leaderboard to a current tie for 55thplace on Tuesday as he finished the second set of 18 holes at one-over par. 

Junior Zack Swanson (74-77) is one stroke back of Lyerly while fellow junior Justin Emmons (77-75) is two strokes back of Lyerly’s ground. 

Freshman Symon Balbin (87-69) is currently tied for 83rdplace after he completed the second round at three-under par.
