GREENSBORO, N.C.  – UNC Greensboro softball continued fall ball this past weekend with a 6-2 victory over Lenoir Rhyne at UNCG Softball Stadium.

Five of the Spartans' runs came in the third inning when the offensive output began with a leadoff walk by Monica Pepe, who was bunted over by Maycin Brown. After that, UNCG knocked back-to-back doubles by Delaney Cumbie and Jasmine Palmer to score a pair of runs. The final three runs in the inning were courtesy the bat of Blayke Batten with a bases clearing double off the left field wall.

In the fourth inning, Brown reached base on a double before Tayler Ramos brought her in with a hit to left field.

In the circle, Kylie Bouplon got the starting nod and completed four innings of work, striking out four without allowing a run.

Alex Rodriguez, Greyson Way and Hannah Stiltner each pitched an inning of relief before Morgan Scott closed things out for the Spartans in the final two innings, striking out two.

Behind the plate, Cumbie caught one runner stealing.
