GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro women’s soccer head coach Michael Coll announced his 2019 signing class on Thursday. Abby Buchholz, Maddy Gilhool, Ciani Ricks and Gabi Santora will join the Spartans for the 2019-20 academic year.
“These four players are good in the classroom and on the field,” said Coll. “Each has multiple on-field strengths that we expect will make our good team even better. It's a small class so far, and we're confident that the additions of Abby to our goalkeeper group, Gabi and Maddy to the Midfield group and Ciani to our goal-scoring numbers will help us stay on track to compete for more Southern Conference Championships. All of them are proud Spartans already and have been great to be around and get to know very well through every step of the recruiting process. I'm very excited to welcome them into our family.”
Buchholz is a goalkeeper from New Hartford, N.Y. Under coach Frank DuRoss, she has lettered every year at New Hartford Senior High School.
