GREENSBORO, N.C.– UNC Greensboro’s baseball team hosted the fall world series to conclude the fall season last weekend.

The teams battled between positions where pitchers competed against pitchers and the position players batted the position players in a unique and competitive format.

The most notable pitching performances was Phillip Sanderson (2.2 innings, 2 hits, 1 run, 4 strikeouts), Chad Sykes (1.2 innings, 1 hit, 0 runs, 1 strikeout), Corey Jackson (2.2 innings, 2 hits, 1 run, 1 strikeout) and Maddux Holshouser (2.1 innings, 2 hits, 0 runs, 2 strikeouts).

The top two position players were Mike Ferrara at first base going 9-for-18 with a double, a triple, a home run and four RBIs followed by Ryan Caveness at catcher went 6-for-9 with a triple, a home run and six RBIs.

The top two infielders were Caleb Webster and Zack Budzik and the top two outfielders were Greg Hardison and Zach Kuchmaner.  Chase Bishop was the top designated hitter.
