In the second round, however, the Berlin, Germany native shot a one-under 71, as she birdied three holes on the front nine along with hole No. 13. She is currently tied for 12th place.

“Tara had another solid start to the tournament,” said head coach Janell Howland. “Proud of her comeback this afternoon. As a team, we need to do the little things better in order to get our scores where we know they can be.

We have another opportunity to go out tomorrow and see what we can do.”

“I had a solid day today,” Bettle added. “After a 76 the first round I was able to really get into my game and make some more birdies, which helped me to shoot 71. I am excited to play tomorrow and hope we can get back to our usual performance and move up the leaderboard.”
