LAWERENCE, KAN. – For just the second time in program history, UNC Greensboro men’s basketball will share the court with Kansas, one of college’s basketball’s premier programs with three national championships to its credit, during the non-conference portion of the Spartans’ 2019-20 schedule.

The game will take place at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8 at Allen Fieldhouse.

The only previous meeting between the two schools took place on Nov. 22, 2002, as the Jayhawks scored a 105-66 victory. The Spartans have faced current Big 12 schools only five times, with the last matchup taking place against West Virginia on Dec. 7, 2002.

Last season, UNCG tallied a program-record 11 non-conference victories before finishing the season with a school-high 29 total victories.

Kansas, meanwhile, was the preseason AP No. 1 team en route to a 26-10 record before falling to eventual Final Four-bound Auburn in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
