The Cheerleading squad is a co-ed group of full-time UNCG students dedicated to performing throughout the men’s and women’s basketball season as well as various special events during the academic year. The squad performs at all regular season men and women’s home basketball games, while a select group travels to the Southern Conference Tournament in March.
All squad members are part of the athletics department and attend study hall as part of the department’s Academic Enhancement Program. Satisfactory academic progress is expected for all student-athletes. There is several scheduled practice sessions every week, which includes strength and conditioning work.
