GREENSBORO, N.C. – For the second time in three tournaments to start fall play, UNC Greensboro junior women's golfer Tara Bettle (72-73-72) has won an individual championship as she finished three strokes ahead of the field in the Starmount Fall Classic at one-over par. 

With her victory, Bettle becomes just the fifth student-athlete in program history to win multiple individual championships in a single season. 

As a team, a furious comeback attempt in the third round came up one stroke short, as the Spartans (299-302-305) finished one stroke behind UAB for the team championship. 

Sophomore Hailey Joy (73-73-77) collected the first top 10 finish in her collegiate career after finishing the third round at five-over 75. She ended up tied for sixth place. 

Senior Louisa Tichy (78-78-78) and freshman Anna Bowman (77-78-79) were amongst three players that finished tied for 24thplace. 

Rounding out team play was junior Sara Rydman (77-81-78), as she finished tied for 28thplace. 

In individual play, senior Kendall Dobbins (75-76-75) finished tied for eighth place while freshman Anna Grace Brock (76-75-81) ended the tournament in 21stplace.
