Wells spent the past two seasons as the top assistant for the University of Charleston’s men’s soccer team, where he helped guide the Golden Eagles to two Sweet Sixteen appearances and a DII National Championship in 2017.
During his first season with Charleston, the Golden Eagles earned an overall record of 21-1-2 before defeating Lynn University in the National Championship 3-1 on penalty kicks. Last season, Charleston collected a record of 18-1-2, before falling to West Chester 1-0 in the NCAA Tournament. Prior to the Sweet Sixteen defeat, Charleston did not trail the entire season, outscoring opponents 54-3.
Prior to his time at Charleston, Wells spent a year with the Tennessee Soccer Club as the Assistant Director of Coaching and Player Development.

In addition to his role as assistant coach for UNCG men’s soccer, Wells is also the Director of Soccer for Camp Winadu.
