BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – UNC Greensboro track ran in the first day of the Southern Conference Outdoor Championships Saturday at the Samford Track Stadium.

Kaitlyn Stone placed fourth overall in the 10,000-meter finals for the women’s first five points. On the men’s side of the event, Luke Sumerford placed seventh for the men’s first two points of the day. The women got another pair of points with a seventh-place finish by Kassidy Dill in the steeplechase.

In the 1,500-meter trials, Taylor Delaney qualified for the finals on Sunday while Kassidy Dill turned in a new season personal record. Colin Alexander and Ewan Hynes both qualified for the men’s final.

Juan Rodriguez and Weston Clayton made the 800-meter final on Sunday. Joseph and Nick Thoma also turned in strong performances in the event.
