GREENSBORO, N.C. - UNC Greensboro men’s golf has announced that Alex Ehlert has joined the program as a volunteer coach. Ehlert, who received both a B.S. and M.S. in Kinesiology from UNCG, was a men’s golf student-athlete for four years.
“We are thrilled to have Alex join our staff,” said Head Coach Terrance Stewart. “Alex will be working in conjunction with out strength staff and Tracy Owens, our Sports Nutritionist, to ensure the team is on the cutting edge with every aspect of fitness, nutrition and life skills to enable our student-athletes be at their best on and off the course.”
Ehlert was selected to the SoCon All-Freshman Team in 2012. That year, he was also named to the SoCon Academic Honor Roll and was a recipient of the Commissioner’s Medal.
He earned both distinctions as well during his junior season along with being selected to the SoCon All-Academic Team. Additionally, he was named a Golf Coaches Association of America All-America Scholar.
Ehlert is currently pursing his PhD at Old Dominion in the field of Human Movement Sciences.
