SPARTANBURG, S.C. – UNC Greensboro women’s basketball (6-11, 0-2 Southern Conference) fell to Wofford (10-7, 2-0 SoCon) 93-66 to end a three-game road trip as three Spartans recorded 10-plus points Saturday in Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium.

Junior guard Nadine Soliman led the way with 20 points on 7-for-15 shooting from the floor and added five rebounds and three steals, while sophomore guard Cece Crudup added 16 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals and sophomore forward Amesha Miller added 14 points, shooting 3-for-6 from the floor and added eight rebounds and two assists.

Junior forward Te’ja Twitty added seven points on 3-for-5 shooting from the floor and three rebounds, while junior forward Mangela Ngandjui added six points and six rebounds.

Wofford scored eight of the first 11 points in the game to take a five-point lead, 8-3, with 5:40 remaining in the opening quarter, but the Spartans scored the next four points to cut the lead to a point, 8-7, with 4:25 left.  The Terriers scored 10 of the final 12 points to increase the lead to nine points, 18-9, after the first quarter.

The Terriers scored the first eight points of the second quarter to increase the lead to 18 points, 27-9, with 8:11 remaining in the quarter, but UNCG scored 14 of the next 20 points to cut the lead to 10 points, 33-23, with 4:21 left in the first half.  Wofford scored 10 of the final 12 points to increase the lead to 18 points, 43-25, after the third quarter.

Wofford scored 23 of the first 36 points of the fourth quarter to increase the lead to 27 points, 66-39, with 1:43 left in final quarter, but the Spartans scored the final three points to cut the final deficit to 24 points.

The Spartans return home for a three-game homestand starting with Samford Thursday at 7 p.m. in Fleming Gymnasium.
