LEXINGTON, KY. – For the first time in program history, UNC Greensboro men’s basketball will face Kentucky at famed Rupp Arena.
Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. and the game will be televised nationally on ESPN2 with Tom Hart and Jimmy Dykes on the call.
Five Facts To Know
--The Spartans are coming off a record-setting performance earlier this week in a 111-33 victory over Greensboro College. Dominating the game, particularly in a second half that started with a 34-0 run for the Spartans, UNCG notched its 13th straight home victory, setting a new program record. Additionally, the 78-point margin of victory was the largest in program history and the 33 points allowed were the second fewest by the Spartans.
--Both UNCG and Kentucky are currently riding six-game winning streaks. After UNCG’s comeback bid against then-No. 23 LSU fell just short earlier this month, the Spartans have since won their last six games, outscoring their opponents by 181 points during that span. Kentucky, meanwhile, has rebounded from a 34-point season-opening loss to Duke by winning its last six games. Earlier this week, the Wildcats defeated Monmouth by 46 points.
--In the contest, the Spartans will be in search of a historic victory. UNCG has yet to notch a victory over an opponent ranked in the AP Top 25. Additionally, UNCG has never beaten any of the current schools that comprise the SEC.
--Senior guard Francis Alonso and junior forward James Dickey this week were named to the watch list for the Lou Henson Award, given annually to the top mid-major player in the country. Both were also named to the Preseason All-Southern Conference Team.
--Keep an eye on the boards tomorrow, as Kentucky is currently No. 1 in the country in rebounding margin. The Wildcats enter the game with a +16.9 rebounding margin and have outrebounded opponents by a combined 119 boards during their current six-game winning streak.

Defensively, sophomore guard Isaiah Miller leads the team in steals per game, swiping an average of 2.6 balls per game.
This is the first-ever meeting between UNCG and Kentucky.
