INDIANAPOLIS – UNCG athletics had three teams earn perfect scores in the multiyear APR as announced by the NCAA Wednesday afternoon. Men’s tennis, women’s golf and volleyball each earned perfect scores of 1,000. The multiyear APR score reflects scores from 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16 and the 2016-17 academic years. This is the second-straight season that volleyball earned a perfect score.
“Academic Success continues to be the foundation of our program and the metric of graduation success rates and GPA reflect this.” Director of Athletics Kim Record said, “The APR speaks to eligibility and retention and having five teams with in the scores is truly an accomplishment.”
The APR Public Recognition Award recognizes teams in the top 10 percent of all Division I programs in their respective sports. The APR accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation and provides a measure of each team’s academic performance. Multiyear APRs for all Division I sports teams, including the teams receiving public recognition will be announced May 23rd.
