GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG men’s golf sit in 10th place after day two at the Tiger Invitational, hosted by Auburn at the Grand National Lake Course. The third and final round will be played Tuesday with tee times from 10:20-11:00 a.m. with live scoring at www.golfstat.com.

UNCG sits at a 13-over par 589 after the first two days of the event and are three-strikes behind in-state opponent Charlotte for ninth place. The host Tigers lead the 17 team field with a -12 team score, followed by Maryland and Mississippi State at +2. Maryland’s David Kocher leads the field with a -8 overall score, shooting a 136 through two days.

The Spartans’ Nick Lyerly (Salisbury, N.C./East Rowan) and Josh Stockwell (Aberdeen, N.C./Southern Pines) lead the team as they sit +1 over par through par 144. Bryce Hendrix (Greenville, N.C./D.H. Conley) dropped from 16th to being tied at 49th with a +5 score. Jonathan Brightwell (Charlotte, N.C./Independence) is just off Hendrix pace, shooting +6. Joseph Cansler (Clemmons, N.C./Surry CC) sits at +13, tied for 83rd to round out the scoring.
