Loren Donohue enters her first season as a cross country/track assistant coach on Chad Pearson’s staff in 2017-18. Donohue joins the Spartan staff from the University of Pittsburgh, where she served as a volunteer assistant coach for cross country and track & field during the 2015-16 campaign. During the 2015 season Pitt achieved its best finish in the history of the women’s cross country program, placing seventh at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional. Donohue also helped coach a Panther women’s distance group that set two school records for indoor and outdoor track, while qualifying athletes for the NCAA East Preliminary Round.
Before making the move to the Steel City, Donohue was the executive director of Team Prep USA and Rocky Mountain Running Camps in Crested Butte, Colorado From 2009-15. She also served as assistant diving coach at nearby Western State Colorado University.
Donohue received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in 2005. A three-sport division I athlete, she competed for the Minutewomen cross country, track & field and diving programs and was voted a team captain.
