2015 (Freshman): Appeared in 15 games and made 10 starts on the mound … Worked his way into the weekend rotation as UNCG's Saturday starter … Named to the Southern Conference All-Freshman Team … Compiled a 5-3 record with a 5.57 earned run average … Struck out 36 batters against 19 walks in 51.2 innings pitched … Recorded wins in five of his first eight starts … Picked up a victory in his first collegiate outing against then No. 24 Liberty at the Keith LeClair Classic in Greenville, N.C. … Also notched wins over Princeton (March 8), NC State (March 17), North Carolina A&T (March 24) and Samford (April 3) … Struck out a career-high eight batters in five scoreless innings at Samford (April 3) … Tossed a season-high 6.2 innings against Furman (April 11) … Hurled four scoreless innings and allowed just two hits with four strikeouts in the 10-0 victory over North Carolina A&T (March 24) at NewBridge Bank Park in downtown Greensboro … Recorded multiple strikeouts in 10 appearances.
High School: A four-year starter for the varsity squad at Holly Springs High School under head coach Rod Whitesell … Tabbed 2014 Atlantic Region Honorable Mention by Perfect Game … Named to the all-conference team his junior year after compiling a 9-1 record, 1.70 ERA and fanning 76 batters – the second most in a single season in school history … Also batted .333 at the dish with 15 RBI … Participated in the Powerade State Games following his junior season … Put together a 2.00 ERA his sophomore season with 69 strikeouts … Led the Golden Hawks to the second round of the state playoffs as a sophomore and the third round his junior campaign … Played for the Carolina Ravens Blue showcase team under head coach Jason Landy and was named to the 2013 East Cobb All-Tournament Hitting Team.
