RALEIGH, N.C. – For the second time this year, UNC Greensboro men’s golf senior Jonathan Brightwell (68-64-71) has won individual medalist honors at a tournament, as the Charlotte native on Sunday capped off a 13-under par performance at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate.  

Brightwell – who also won the individual championship at the Rod Myers Invitational – becomes just the fifth golfer in program history to win individual medalists honors multiple times in a single season. 

As a team, the Spartans (290-274-289) finished tied for third place with Furman behind only Campbell and North Carolina State. 

Junior Nick Lyerly (76-68-72) made a climb up the leaderboard to finish tied for 19thplace, as he was even-par 72 on Sunday. He ended the tournament with a birdie on 18. 

Junior Justin Emmons (74-72-73) carded a one-over 73 in Sunday’s final round, capping off a weekend in which he finished tied for 31stplace. 

Junior Zack Swanson (72-75-73) moved up to a tie for 37thplace, as he ended the third round at one-over 73. He was two-under 34 on the front-nine, with two birdies and an eagle against two bogeys.  

Freshman Jack Marcotte (77-70-78) finished the tournament tied for 59thplace after he completed the third round at six-over par.  

Representing the Spartans in individual play during the weekend were freshmen Noah Connor (76-76-74) and Symon Balbin (80-78-69). Connor finished tied for 66thplace while Balbin ended the tournament tied for 70thplace after carding a three-under 69 in the third round.
