MESA, ARIZ. - UNC Greensboro women’s golf will continue spring play this week when the Spartans compete in the 2018 Clover Cup, which is taking place this Friday-Sunday in Mesa, Ariz. The tournament is being hosted by Notre Dame.

A Glance At The Squad
UNCG began spring play by finishing tied for 13th place at the 2019 Kiawah Island Spring Classic. The Spartans were in the top-third of the 49-team tournament throughout play.
Then in the Spartans’ last appearance on the course – the River Landing Classic in Wallace, N.C. – they finished tied for 10th place after the final two rounds of the tournament were cancelled due to winter weather.
During the team’s fall play, the Spartans collected two top-five finishes. In the team’s home tournament – the Starmount Fall Classic – the Spartans finished in second place followed by a fourth place finish in the Pinehurst Challenge. In total, the Spartans finished in the top 10 of all five of their fall tournament appearances.
The Spartans will be represented in the Clover by sophomores Keri Kenkel, Tara Bettle and Sara Rydman and seniors Lexi Kershaw and Natalia Asensio. Additionally, freshman Hailey Joy will be participating as an individual.
UNCG Will Be Joined By…
UNCG will be one of 15 teams in the tournament, joined by Florida International, Mercer, Kentucky, Kansas State, Oklahoma, IUPUI, Wisconsin, Cincinnati, Notre Dame, Western Carolina, Mississippi State, Nebraska and USC.
