UNCG head coach Trina Patterson has announced the addition of Maya Solomon to the women’s basketball staff as a graduate manager. Solomon, who recently received her bachelor’s degree from Maryville University in St. Louis, Mo., will begin classes at UNCG this fall.
“Maya has a done a lot in her undergraduate work that will allow her to be successful here,” Patterson said. “We look for her to contribute in a graduate manager position, where she’ll be responsible for some player personnel, community service and contribute to our overall development of our program.”
Solomon joins Noelle Cobb, who enters her second year as a graduate manager at UNCG following her playing career at University of La Verne. The duo will assist with film editing, community service projects and other assigned duties.
Solomon was a four-year letterwinner at Maryville as she was named a 2017-18 team co-captain and received the 2018 team senior award.
The Dayton, Ohio native worked for two basketball camps in June of 2016 for Notre Dame and Bethel College and served as an events and facilities operations intern from Jan. until May of 2018 at Maryville.
Served as a camp and special event coordinator for the athletes in action in Xenia, Ohio and worked the men’s Missouri Valley Conference Championship in March of 2016.
Solomon earned her bachelor of science from Maryville in Rawlings sport business management in May of 2018.
