KANSAS CITY, Mo. – UNCG men’s basketball received the National Association of Basketball Coaches’ (NABC) Sixth Annual Team Academic Excellence Award. Jordy Kuiper, Marvin Smith and Taqqi Muhammad were also named to the 2017-18 NABC Honors Court.

UNCG was just one of two Southern Conference schools to garner the distinction along with Mercer. The Spartans produced three of the nine SoCon players selected to the NABC Honors Court.

The team award recognize outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2017-18 season.
