TUCSON, Ariz. – UNCG’s Matt Frisbee earned Second Team All-American Honors by Collegiate Baseball as announced Thursday morning. The teams are chosen by performances up to the NCAA Regional round and are picked by the staff of Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.

This is the seventh Collegiate Baseball All-American honor received by a Spartan, joining Ryan Gordon (2003) and Jason Parsons (1997) on the All-American squads, with Caleb Webster (2017), Andrew Moritz (2016), Cesar Trejo (2016), Scooter Michael (2001) and Ted Toler (1998) having earned Freshman All-American honors.

This is Frisbee’s first All-American honor in his career. He finished the 2018 season as the Southern Conference’s Pitcher of the Year, going 10-2 in 15 games with a 3.45 ERA. He logged a team-high 91.1 innings, striking out 116 hitters, second most in a season in school history.
