Allyse Kotso enters her first season as an assistant coach for Janell Howland in 2016-17. Kotso comes to UNCG after spending the last six years working in various aspects of golf in the state of Indiana.
Kotso was a volunteer assistant women’s golf coach and director of camps and clinics at Indiana University for five years. She facilitated practices, provided instruction and organized team travel during her time at Indiana. She spent seven rounds as an acting assistant coach, helping the Hoosiers to some of their best numbers of the season. Additionally, she managed and executed all efforts for home tournaments as the Tournament Director.
Kotso also spent time as the senior pro shop associate at the Indiana University Public Golf Course in 2016. She spent time as the assistant men’s and women’s golf coach at DePauw University in 2015 at the NCAA Division III school. Additionally, she was tournament operations intern at the Indiana Golf Foundation from 2010-11.
Kotso spent one season playing for Indiana as a walk-on before seeing her career end due to an injury. She graduated from IU in 2013 with a bachelor’s of science in kinesiology while earning her master of science in kinesiology in 2014. She is certified as the Titleist Performance Institute golf fitness instructor while also completing the PING Fitting Program and possessing knowledge in AimPoint.
