Adam Hutson enters his second season as a student manager for Spartan baseball for the 2018 season. Hutson was a two-year letterwinner before transitioning to his new role.
As a student manager, Hutson works in several different capacities. He works as part of the travel coordination team, managing meals, hotel reservation sand organizing team transportation. He provides video services for players and coaches for review and critique to continue to improve one of the top offenses in the NCAA. He plays a role in maintaining the playing surface at the UNCG Baseball Stadium. Hutson also works with community outreach programs, aiding in the community service for the baseball program and directs tours for prospective student-athletes.
Over the summer, Hutson served a variety of roles, helping with budgetary and camp needs. Hutson worked as the primary oversight of all the baseball equipment and facilities. He also oversaw the volunteer staff members, baseball camp workers and UNCG student-athletes for the camps. He worked with the promotion and planning of camps to ensure that activities were developmentally appropriate for the ages involved. He assisted in the management of the apparel, recruiting and scholarship budgets.
2016 (Sophomore): Appeared in one game at catcher… Secured three outs of the final frame against Binghamton (Feb. 28).
2015 (Freshman): Did not compete in any games
High School: Played three years of varsity baseball for Lincoln Charter High School under head coach Mike Hartshorne and finished with a .312 career batting average … Hit .392 in 51 at bats with 20 hits, 15 runs scored, 10 RBI, four doubles and a home run … Was also 7-for-7 in stolen base attempts … Tallied 14 hits, nine runs scored, seven RBI and five doubles as a junior … Helped Lincoln Charter to one of its most successful seasons in program history with a 17-8 record and 9-3 league mark.
Personal: Majoring in recreation and parks management.
