Softball Adds Catcher Rebecca Kale to 2015 Roster
GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG softball head coach Janelle Breneman announced the addition of incoming freshman Rebecca Kale (Hudson, N.C./ South Caldwell) to the 2015 roster.
Kale played four years as a catcher at South Caldwell high school in Hudson, North Carolina. She was an All-County Player of the year and all-conference honoree during her four seasons. Kale also played three seasons of Volleyball as a libero.
Kale helped her team finish 23-2 during her senior season winning the conference championship. She played all 25 games hitting .294 with 25 hits, 15 runs scored, five doubles, three triples, 20 RBI and four home runs.
Also played club softball with the Carolina Cardinals where she was a teammate with fellow freshman Mackenzie Winslow.
UNCG went 31-26 last season earning 30-plus wins for the second straight year and reached the Southern Conference championship game falling to Chattanooga 4-3. The Spartans return two All-Tournament team members in junior Lindsay Thomas (Irvine, Calif./Northwood) and freshman Tory Wright (Potomac Falls, Va./Dominion).
