Stacy Kosciak is in her 20th straight year working at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her third year as Deputy Athletic Director is 2019-20. Kosciak oversees the day-to-day operations of the department as well as administrative oversight of the men's and women's basketball programs on a day-to-day basis.
Kosciak, a 1996 graduate of UNCG in exercise and sport science, spent the past five years as Senior Associate Athletic Direcotr. She is a member of the department's executive staff and acts as the logistical representative for the department to the Board of Trustees and the Chancellor's Office.
Kosciak was the sport administrator for women's basketball, volleyball and men's and women's track/cross country. She was responsible for coach hiring and direct oversight of those sports. She oversaw game day operations for those sports and approves competition scheduling.
Additionally, Kosciak has oversight responsibility with facility and game operations, equipment and transportation and the department's human resources.
Kosciak spent the 2010-11 year as an Assistant Athletic Director at UNCG before her promotion to her Senior Associate AD. Prior to that, she spent five years as a Special Assistant to former Director of Athletics Nelson Bobb. She was responsible for alumni relations and donor cultivation, all recognition events and assisted with championships.
During her tenure at UNCG, Kosciak has been a member of the UNCG Staff Senate (2008-13), including the Chair of the Staff Senate in 2011-12 as well as the Member of the UNC Statewide System Staff Assembly. She is on numerous committees on campus including the Institutional Effectiveness Committee (2009-present), Institutional Policy Advisory Group (2013-present), Human Resource Advisory Group (2012-present), University Managed Services Committee (2014), University Benefits Committee (2009-2013) and the UNCG Response Team for the UNC System Community Engagement and Economic Development (2013-present).
Before moving into the administration side of athletics, Kosciak was the head volleyball coach at UNCG for four seasons (2000-2004) and an assistant coach for one season (1999-2000). She was a four-year letterwinner for the Spartans on the court, finishing up her career in 1996.
Kosciak also earned her Master of Science degree in Sport Studies from High Point in 2009.
