GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG's sophomore Hakan Ilhan has been named to the Premier Development League Team of the Week for week five of the season, the United Soccer League (USL) announced this week.

Ilhan scored twice for the Carolina Dynamo on May 28th as it defeated Virginia Beach 3-0. With the Dynamo already leading 1-0, Ilhan got on the board for the first time on the day in the 18th minute to give his team a two-goal lead off an assist from Guilford College's Freddy Gomez.

Ilhan would go on to add another goal in the 40th minute off of an assist from Karo Okiomah.

The win clinched the Dynamo's spot in the 2011 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, which is open to all U.S. Soccer Federation teams from amateur adult club teams to professional clubs from Major League Soccer.

The Dynamo will host the Charlotte Eagles of the USL Professional Division on June 14 in the first round of the U.S. Open Cup.
