GREENSBORO, N.C.- UNC Greensboro’s men’s soccer team will return to Southern Conference action this Saturday when it hosts ETSU as part of the school’s Homecoming Weekend.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the game will be streamed on ESPN3.

Entering Saturday night’s contest, the Spartans currently have a 4-7-1 overall record and are 0-1-1 in SoCon action. The Spartans completed their non-conference schedule with a 4-6-1 record, with three of those victories coming in overtime. UNCG also faced two ranked ACC teams in No. 1 Wake Forest and No. 16 Virginia Tech.
Returning home after falling to Wofford in double overtime this past Tuesday, UNCG is 2-3-1 at UNCG Soccer Stadium so far this season.
Sophomore midfielder Alex Henderson currently leads the Spartans in goals with three while senior midfielder Moises Gonzalez is the team’s assists leader with three. In goal, redshirt freshman Ricky Zarri has recorded 25 saves in eight appearances while senior Jon Milligan has allowed just six goals in more than 540 minutes of action.
Saturday night’s meeting will be the 15th all-time matchup between the Spartans and Buccaneers. UNCG trails in the all-time series at 4-6-4.
Last year, the two SoCon rivals tied 0-0 in Johnson City, Tenn., before UNCG fell to ETSU 2-1 in Greensboro.
A Look At ETSU
The Buccaneers will enter the matchup with a 7-5-0 overall record and a 2-0-0 record in the SoCon. ETSU opened the season with back-to-back losses against ranked ACC opponents along with a 3-2 double overtime loss to High Point. ETSU, however, is 7-3 in its last 10 games.
