GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG women’s tennis team dropped a 4-1 contest to the Richmond Spiders Sunday afternoon at the UNCG Tennis Courts. UNCG falls to 3-14 on the season, while Richmond improves to 5-10.

The Spiders took the doubles point, taking matches at flights one and three. UNCG got a victory from the pair of Emily Ory and Nancy Bridges, 6-4 over Adrienne Haynes and Gaby Rosales, 6-4 at No. 2.

Bridges continued to be tough on the day as she earned a straight-set victory over Emily Dunbar at No. 1, 6-4, 6-1. Alice Taylor and Sophia Adams each split their first two sets at No. 2 and No. 3 before going unfinished after Richmond had earned the clinching point.
