BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – UNCG women’s tennis dropped its Southern Conference matchup with the Samford Bulldogs, 6-1 Saturday afternoon. With the loss, UNCG falls to 3-13 on the season, and 0-5 in SoCon play. Samford improves to 10-7 and 4-0 in league action.

Samford swept the doubles competition to earn the first point. Singles play saw the Bulldogs win five of six matches to earn the win. Sophia Adams notched a straight-set victory over Holly Horsfall, 7-6, 6-2 at No. 3. Brianna Gomez played tough at No. 4, but fell in three sets to Elsa Pool.
