SOPHOMORE (2018): Appeared in 11 games, making one start along the way, over the course of the season … made his first appearance of the season at Virginia Tech (Feb. 24), converting three strikeouts and allowing three hits in three innings of work … had his first start of the slate against Penn (March 2) where he had three strikeouts, allowed four hits and two runs and worked 1.2 innings … finished with a pair of strikeouts after allowing one hit in 1.1 innings at Mercer (March 23) … fanned three batters and did not allow a hit against Furman (April 6) … tossed 2.1 innings, allowing five hits and making four strikeouts … toed the rubber for one inning against George Mason (April 14), making one strikeout.

FRESHMAN (2018): Made three appearances, tossing 2.0 innings with one strikeout … Made his collegiate debut against Oakland (Feb. 20), going 1.0 inning with a strikeout … Logged a shutout inning against Lafayette (Mar. 10).

PREP: Played at Unity Christian High… In his senior season, he started six games, throwing in 34.1 innings… He earned a 2.45 earned run average, striking out 74 hitters, including 31 looking… He allowed just 14 hits, earning a 2-1 record and recording a shutout… A multi-sport athlete, he earned first team All-Conference in Soccer and Basketball as well as earning All-Area Defensive honors in his senior season…. A highly decorated student, Hoppe was his school’s Salutatorian, the Bradley J. Holesinger Extra-Curricular Memorial Award, High Honors and President’s Education awards as well as being recognized for Excellence in Humanities.
