SOPHOMORE (2019): Led the team in singles wins (11), earning 10 as the No. 4 seed … was responsible for five doubles wins, winning three matches with Emily Ory and two alongside Nancy Bridges … snagged five singles victories in February, including three straight to open the month after posting a 6-4, 6-7, 6-1 victory against Alicza Zduniak (Coastal Carolina) … came through with a 7-6, ret., win against Kylee Shipley (UNC Asheville) as UNCG earned the 4-0 win … battled past Jeannez Daniel (Appalachian State) in a three-set victory (6-3, 0-6, 6-3) … completed a two-set win over Martina Paladini Jennings (East Carolina) on Feb. 23 … instrumental in helping the Spartans complete a 7-0 win against N.C. A&T by downing Marlene Estenssoro (6-1, 6-2) … opened the trek to Colorado with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Madeline Doherty (Northern Colorado) on March 6 … followed that performance with a 6-2, 6-4 victory against Alyssa Grijalva (Colorado State) the following day … began her longest winning streak of the season (four matches) at Western Carolina with a 6-3, 6-1 win against Savannah Taranto (March 28) … followed that with a 6-2, 6-3 triumph against Holly Horsfall (Samford) … fought past Olivia Archer (Elon) to claim a 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) win on April 3 … wrapped up her four-match winning streak with a three-set win against Bogdana Zaporozhets (Chattanooga) on April 6 … posted her first doubles win of the slate on Feb. 2, alongside Ory, as the pair downed Alexa Tiefel / Viktorija Demcenkova (Coastal Carolina) by a 7-6 score … came through with a pair of doubles victories with Bridges as her partner, the first coming on Feb. 9 against UNC Asheville as they downed Lize Alet Morkel / Taylor Love by a 6-3 margin … one week later, she and Bridges took down Heidi Swope / Maria Jose Zacarias (Appalachian State) by a 6-0 score … teamed with Ory to post a 7-6 win over Alexandra Abele / Samantha Armas (Davidson) on March 20 … picked up her fifth doubles victory, third with Ory, on April 3 as the duo defeated Elon’s Uma Nayar / Nicole Shiau by a 6-4 margin.

FRESHMAN (2018): Went 7-3 in her first fall season at UNCG … started the season off with six consecutive wins at the Elon Fall Invitational and the Spartan Classic Invitational … defeated Maru Berghaus of NC Central (Sept. 15), Elon’s Mia Wallace (Sept. 16) and Coastal Carolina’s Brooke Campbell (Sept. 16) at the Elon Invitational before knocking off teammate Tayah Cross in the finale at Elon ... earned wins over Presbyterian’s Brittany Nuttall in three sets before defeating Lea Cutura of Campbell in straight sets at the Spartan Classic … notched another win over Cutura at the Coastal Carolina Battle at the Beach (Nov. 3) … started her doubles career with fellow rookie Tayah Cross at the Elon Fall Invitational … paired with Cross to defeat teams from Presbyterian and Campbell at the Spartan Classic … competed with Sophia Adams at the Battle at the Beach ... earned Freshman All-Southern Conference honors during her spring season … finished 15-4 in singles play on the year … Earned SoCon Player of the Week (Apr. 17) ... finished 1-3 in doubles play, partnering with Sophia Adams … started her rookie season by going 10-0, going to three sets just twice in that run … suffered her first loss of the season in her first match at No. 5 before rebounding to win the next three matches … finished 5-1 in SoCon matches, competing at No. 4-6 … defeated ETSU’s Jayde Viccars (Mar. 18) and Wofford’s Curran Carver (Apr. 10) in straight sets … earned three-set SoCon wins over Furman’s Georgie Walker (Mar. 24), Mercer’s Grace Korta (Mar. 30) and Chattanooga’s Tamri Chalaganidze (Apr. 14) … earned her first doubles victory over a pair from Appalachian State with Sophia Adams (Mar. 20).

PREP: Gomez competed for four seasons at John A. Ferguson Senior High Falcons in Miami, Fla. … played No. 1 singles all four years at the varsity level … was a state qualifier in her senior season... a three-time All-District finalist … was District Champion in her senior season… led John A. Ferguson to a district championship and a regional finalist in her senior campaign… Led the Falcons to a three-time district runner-up finishes… participated in Best Buddies program for three years and was a National Honor Society member in her senior season.
