Freshman (2017-18): Went 7-3 in her first fall season at UNCG… Started the season off with six consecutive wins at the Elon Fall Invitational and the Spartan Classic Invitational… Defeated MAru Berghaus of NC Central (Sept. 15), Elon’s Mia Wallace (Sept. 16) and Coastal Carolina’s Brooke Campbell (Sept. 16) at the Elon Invitational before knocking off teammate Tayah Cross in the finale at Elon. Earned wins over Presbyterian’s Brittany Nuttall in three sets before defeating Lea Cutura of Campbell in straight sets at the Spartan Classic… Notched another win over Cutura at the Coastal Carolina Battle at the Beach (Nov. 3)… Started her doubles career with fellow rookie Tayah Cross at the Elon Fall Invitational… Paired with Cross to defeat teams from Presbyterian and Campbell at the Spartan Classic… Competed with Sophia Adams at the Battle at the Beach.

Prep: Gomez competed for four seasons at John A. Ferguson Senior High Falcons in Miami, Fla. … She played No. 1 singles all four years at the varsity level… Was a state qualifier in her senior season... Three-time All-District finalist… District Champion in her senior season… Led John A. Ferguson to a district championship and a regional finalist in her senior campaign… Led the Falcons to a three-time district runner-up finishes… Participated in Best Buddies program for three years and was a National Honor Society member in her senior season.

Club: Competed with the Tamiami Tennis Center for four years under club coach Mark Chellas… Copa Liga de Tenis de Bogota “El tenis es mas “ Grade 5 quarterfinalist… USTA Florida Level 5 Miami Dade Girls 18s fourth-place finish… USTA Florida level 3 “Bobby Curtis” State doubles Girls 18s sixth-place… USTA National Selection – (Columbus Day Open) 2016 quarter finalist.
