Link, Shipp Show Well For Track & Field at Aggie Last Chance

GREENSBORO, N.C. – With the outdoor season winding down, UNCG's Katherine Link (Avon Lake, Ohio/Avon Lake) and Dakarai Shipp (Raleigh, N.C./Millbrook) represented the Blue and Gold well Sunday at the Aggie Last Chance.

Link and Shipp were the only two Spartans in action at the local meet. Link finished first in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, posting a time of 10:58.33 to outpace the only other runner in the race, unattached Taylor Brown. In the 1,500 meters, Shipp took fifth after completing the circuit in 4:06.85.

The Aggie Last Chance is the only meet on UNCG's schedule remaining prior to the NCAA East Regional. Qualifying athletes will race in Lexington, Kentucky May 25-27.
