GREENSBORO, N.C. – Former UNCG men's basketball forward Kayel Locke (Baltimore, Md./McDonogh) has signed his first-ever professional contract and will continue his playing career in Europe for the 2016-17 season. Locke signed with KB Bashkimi Prizren in Kosovo, which plays in the Balkan League (BIBL) and the Kosovo Championship League.

All my teammates and coaches pushed me hard every day within my four years at UNCG, preparing me for this next chapter of my life. I will forever be a Spartan!”
Locke finished his career sixth all-time in UNCG scoring history with 1,522 points and also sixth on the glass with 652 career rebounds. He played more games than any other play in UNCG history with 130 appearances, including 115 starts. He started 115 of his final 118 games of his UNCG career.
Locke finished his senior season second on the team in scoring at 12.6 points per game and second on the glass with 5.4 rebounds per game. He scored in double figures 22 times in 34 games as a senior and finished his career with 80 games with double figure scoring marks. He averaged double figures in three of his four seasons and never averaged less than 9.6 points per game during his career.
