2017 (Sophomore): Worked in 13 games, making four starts… Earned a 5.34 ERA in 28.2 innings… Went 2-2 and struck out 26 hitters… Struck out at least one hitter in 12 appearances… Recorded multiple strikeouts in nine games… Made his first appearance at Founder's Park in front of a sold out crowd of 8,242 at South Carolina (Feb. 17), going 2.2 innings, allowing one hit and striking out a batter… Struck out a season-best four hitters in 2.1 innings of relief against Western Carolina (Mar. 25)… Got his first start against NC State (Apr. 11), going 2.1 innings with two strikeouts… Started against High Point (Apr. 18), going 3.2 innings, striking out two hitters allowing one run… Started against Elon (May 2), going 2.0 shutout innings allowing just one hit and striking out two batters… Three-straight shutout appearances against Elon (May 2), VMI (May 5), and Samford (May 18)… Season-long 5.1 innings in his final start of the season in the Southern Conference Tournament Championship game against Furman (May 28), allowing four hits and one run with four strikeouts in the Championship victory… Worked 2.0 innings, scattering two hits in the NCAA Clemson Regional (June 4). 

2016 (Freshman): Made 19 appearances and started six games… Served as a midweek starter during the season, making five starts on either Tuesday or Wednesday… Started the first game of the Coastal Carolina Invitational against Illinois (Mar. 11)… Worked a total of 39.2 innings, earning a 1-1 record… Struck out 39 batters and issued 31 walks… Started the season with three-straight scoreless outings, going at least 1.0 inning in each… Struck out at least one batter in 13-straight appearances (Mar. 11-May 11)… Earned his first win against UMES (Mar. 16) throwing 4.0 innings, striking out two batters… Struck out a season-high five batters in 3.1 innings against North Carolina A&T (Mar. 22) at NewBridge Bank Park… Struck out four batters on two occasions… In 1.1 innings against Binghamton (Feb. 28) struck out all four batters he faced in 1.1 innings… Struck out four against Wake Forest (Apr. 12) going 5.1 innings, allowing four runs.

High School: Played four seasons of varsity baseball for Corinth Holders High School under head coach Adam Weaver … Garnered 2015 All-Atlantic Region Honorable Mention recognition from Perfect Game … Appeared in 13 games on the mound his senior season and made three starts … Tallied a 5-2 record, 1.54 earned run average and 77 strikeouts over 54.2 innings pitched …  Led the Pirates to a 13-8 overall record and 8-2 conference mark as well as a second round state playoff appearances … Struck out 11 batters in a win over rival Cleveland County High School … Hit .323 in 62 at bats with six runs scored and 14 RBI … Earned all-conference honors in both the Two Rivers and Northern Carolina conferences … Holds the program record for most career strikeouts … Is the first male athlete from Corinth Holders to receive a Division I athletic scholarship … Hit .299 as a junior with 20 hits, 11 runs scored, seven RBI, five doubles, a home run, an on base percentage of .347 and a slugging percentage of .417 … Turned in 14 appearances on the mound and compiled a 3-2 record with a 1.35 ERA and 66 strikeouts … Excelled statistically both on the mound and at the dish his sophomore campaign … Hit .368 with 21 hits, nine runs scored and 16 RBI … Tallied a 7-4 record and 1.73 ERA while striking out 73 in 56.2 innings pitched ….
