2013 (Freshman): Appeared in 19 games and made five starts at catcher … scored three runs and drove in four … recorded a season-high two hits as the starting catcher against Princeton (March 20) as UNCG downed the Tigers 9-7 … posted doubles in two contests – at Duke (April 9) and at Furman (May 11) … started the season finale against The Citadel (May 18), tallying a hit, a RBI and a stolen base.

High School: Played on the Southwestern Randolph varsity squad all four years of his prep career … earned all-conference and all-county accolades his junior and senior seasons … tied the North Carolina prep record for home runs in an inning with two bombs against Eastern Randolph last season … finished his senior campaign with a .484 batting average, .593 on base percentage and a 1.194 slugging percentage … ranked No. 1 in the state in 2012 (according to with 12 home runs … also played basketball and football for the Cougars … competed for Randolph Post County 45 from 2010-2013 under head coach Ronnie Pugh, helping the club to the 2012 Area III Northern Division title.
