2010: Saw action in 48 games as a sophomore and made 41 starts as a third baseman … led the team with a .307 batting average and had 17 RBI and 20 runs scored … had a season-high three RBI and went 2-4 against Wake Forest (5/12) … had three hits in four games on the year and collected 13 multi-hit games … scored a season-high three runs at Western Carolina (5/2) … hit his first home run of the year at Georgia Southern (3/27) and also had home runs at Samford (4/9) and against Furman (5/21) … recorded seven doubles on the season … had a .413 slugging percentage and a .350 on-base percentage … made one appearance on the mound as he pitched one inning against Wofford (4/24).

2009: Started at second base, shortstop and third base in 34 of the 45 games that he appeared in as a true freshman ... batted .234 for the year with 16 RBI and 23 runs scored ... went 3-5 with two runs scored, including the game-tying home run, in the 9-7 win against High Point in 12 innings ... helped propel the Spartans to their first conference win by hitting his first career home run against Wofford (4/9).

Summer Ball:
Played this past summer for the Carolina Stingers and coach Cliff Allred in Fort Mill, S.C. where he participated in the home run competition at the all-star game ... he hit .315 with 13 RBI and 21 runs scored over the summer.

High School:
Played four years for coach Mike Jacobs at West Johnston High School in Benson, N.C. ... was the conference player of the year his senior season and named to the all-state team ... he was also an all-conference selection twice ... played in the State Games as a junior and senior ... led his team in homeruns with eight his senior season ... also was a three-year letterwinner in football where he was an all-conference selection ... played one season of soccer and was named all-conference and all-district ... also played three seasons of basketball ... was a member of the National Honor Society.
