Trina Patterson is in her third year as head coach at UNCG during the 2018-19 season. In her second year at the helm, Patterson led the Spartans to another double-digit win season, earning 13 wins with six coming in Southern Conference play.

UNCG women's basketball head coach Trina Patterson announced the addition of assistant coach Cetera DeGraffenreid for the upcoming season. DeGraffenreid comes to UNCG after coaching at Gardner-Webb for the last three seasons. She played professionally in Israel for two seasons after being a student-athlete at the University of North Carolina.
