Link Jarrett
Link Jarrett, two-time Southern Conference Coach of the Year, has led UNCG to its winningest three seasons in program history over the last three years. Spartan baseball has won 36 or more games the last three seasons for the first time in program history after earning the Southern Conference Regular Season Championship this season. Jarrett led the Spartans back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 20 years in 2017, knocking off 23rd ranked St. John's at the NCAA Clemson Regional. In Jarrett's tenure, the Spartan offense has led the Southern Conference in hitting in five of his six seasons and led the nation in average during the 2016 season. Spartan baseball's success hasn't been limited to the field as the program has achieved high marks in the classroom as well. Over the last four seasons, his teams have earned APR marks over 983, including a perfect 1000 after the 2015-16 academic year. The last three years have seen his programs achieve a cumulative GPA of over 3.11 and during the 2017-18 season, the 3.22 team GPA was the highest of any male sport at UNCG.   FULL BIO

Jerry Edwards
Jerry Edwards enters his seventh season as UNCG's pitching coach in 2019. Edwards' pitching staff saw four players taken in the 2018 MLB Draft, the most pitchers drafted in any one draft in the history of UNCG. The 2018 pitching staff produced a pair of All-Southern Conference performers, including the program's third SoCon Pitcher of the Year in Matt Frisbee. Led by Frisbee's 116 strikeouts, the 2018 pitching staff set a new school record, recording 529 punch outs during the year, besting the previous mark by 34. The staff recorded the program's lowest ERA (4.17) in 14 years, tying the mark set by the 2004 staff. The team also had three players record saves on the season, en route to besting last year's school record. Jack Maynard, Andrew Wantz and Easton Welch combined for the school record 22 saves.   FULL BIO
Assistant Coach
Joey Holcomb
Joey Holcomb was promoted to the post of assistant coach and recruiting coordinator in July of 2015, and will enter his fourth season in the same position in 2019.  He previously served three seasons as UNCG's volunteer assistant coach. 2018 saw the Spartans earned a 39-15 record, marking the third-straight season of 36 or more wins for the first time in program history. Holcomb worked with the hitters and catchers, helping the offense finish with a .326 team average, ranking second in the nation. Holcomb helped the Spartan offense record 624 hits and drove in 345 runs during the year. In 54 games, UNCG led the Southern Conference hits per game, averaging 11.56 per contest. The Spartans went for double-digit hits in 35 games, going 30-5 and were 12-0 when scoring 10 or more runs.   FULL BIO
Volunteer Assistant Coach
Adam Hutson
Adam Hutson begins his first season as the volunteer assistant coach after two years as the Spartans' video coordinator & student assistant. He was an assistant coach in the summer of 2018 for the Champion City Kings of the collegiate Prospect League. He spent two seasons as a catcher for the Spartans.   FULL BIO
Student Assistant Coach
Dan Loats
Dan Loats enters his first season as the Spartans' student assistant coach. Voted a team captain in 2018, Loats was a standout pitcher for the Spartans after transferring from North Iowa Area Community College. He will assist the pitching staff and with program administration.   FULL BIO
