The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) Spartan has a bold new look. Capitalizing on a year of historic growth, outstanding performance in the classroom and record-breaking results on the field, UNCG has unveiled a series of refreshed, reimagined athletic and spirit marks.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG Deputy Athletics Director Stacy Kosciak has been selected to participate in the yearlong NCAA Pathway Program. This program is an intensive, experimental learning opportunity for NCAA Divisions I, II and III administrators and is designed to elevate those currently in senior-level positions within athletics administration to the next step as a director of athletics. Since the inaugural year in 1997, the Pathway Program has produced more than 100 alumni, with nearly 25-percent of the participants going on to become directors of athletics and more than 60-percent of alumni earning promotions.
Greensboro, N.C.- UNCG Department of Athletics has announced a seven-year partnership with BSN SPORTS. The agreement is part of BSN SPORTS Collegiate Select program, which aims to make BSN SPORTS a comprehensive one-stop provider for all collegiate athletic, intramural, club and staff apparel and equipment for all DI, DII, DIII, NJCAA and NAIA schools.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNCG athletic department held its fifth annual Big Held Day Thursday as every staff member and coach took time out of their schedules to give back to the Greensboro Community. The Spartans donated their time volunteering at five different organizations across the regions throughout the day adding to the over 1,000 cumulative volunteer hours during the 2017-18 season that UNCG student-athletes donated.
Southern Conference commissioner John Iamarino was on hand at the UNCG men's basketball game last night to honor two members of the UNCG community named to the All-SoCon Faculty and Staff Team this year in Dr. Cherry Callahan and Dr. Jacqueline DeBrew.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – On February 1st, UNCG is conducting a large-scale, mass casualty emergency exercise in and around the McIver Building on campus. The exercise is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
